Every other day too. What's so special about Friday?
we have a few new amazing southern meals. Fried chicken Benedict, 3 style breakfast bowls, a fried shrimp platter and a new swiss hoagie, get it before it's gone.
Yes. Who else would do their carry out orders? Has to be them
EXCELLENT, COURTEOUS SERVICE; GOOD FOOD AT A GOOD PRICE
Worse service ever. The only upside to this entire experience was that we were seated immediately. First we didn't get silverware, then when I finally did get it, the knife was dirty. Next we had to wait an entire hour for food. When it finally got there, there was something green on the plate that was obviously there when they put my pancakes on the plate. It was stuck to the plate. Will not be eating here again. This is the second time we've had this same experience with the same waitress as far as having to wait forever for our food. Three other tables near us came in well after us and and got their food before we did. The manager asked if we would give them another chance and of course the answer is "no" when it comes to cleanliness.
Love picking up here . Great place to eat . Good friendly service
The food was Absolutely Delicious and our Servers were truly “on Point!” They didn’t miss a beat! Had EVERY order right and was there to attend to our every need! Our party of 19 was truly treated well and they accommodated us to the fullest! The “Catfish”.....I would recommend to anyone who has never tried it there! Ummmm Gooooood!😋 Try it!’👍🏽 You won’t regret it!
Food is usually really good. Wait times can be obnoxious. Tea is overbrewed and they are currently out of CO2 so they don't have any fountain sodas.
Great service from Tony. They were taking the necessary precautions for Covid & not crowded. The food was delicious.
Most always a nice place to share a meal.
The service was outstanding but I have never and still do not like their food. For me, very bland, below expectation on portion size, and dry. I had two eggs, what I thought was turkey sausage, supposedly "all the fixings" and grits. In a small dish, I was served two tablespoons of grits, two dried out scrabbled eggs and unpalatable sausage patties. The biscuits were good, but I had to ask what and where were the fixings, only to find out that a side bowl of white gravy was my fixings. For me, this is not my restaurant of choice ever, but others must love their food because the place was crowded and had a waiting line. I do love the cracker barrel store of yesteryear. But my friend pointed out some racially charged saleables around the store. I believe you either love or hate cracker barrel and it definitely requires your own experience.
It's a pretty nice place. The food is ways good, and big portions. The service is good too.Our server, Virginia was very attentive and amazing. The only issue was it took a little longer then expected to get our food. But it was worth the wait. The store has a great selection of good items. It is pricey, but some of the stuff is really nice and worth it. All around this place is worth the trip.During a normal week day, it can be pretty crowded, so you can expect a wait some night. On weekends, there's always tables open. Plan your trip accordingly!Looking for breakfast or lunch? Check out Cracker Barrel on Portsmouth Blvd.
Great service, food was appealing, environment was pleasant not too overly busy, plus you can do a little bit of shopping while waiting to be seated 👍
Everything was perfect, excellent food and nice store.
The staff was the best. Food was great i got the meatloaf. It was great
We have been coming to this Cracker Barrel for several years. Cracker Barrel is one of our favorite places to eat but this location continues to struggle with timely food service and delays in seating. The quality of food has been hit and miss as well. We typically visit on Weds evening for their Brocolli Cheddar Chicken special. Last night it was 7 pm when we were finally seated, a good 45 minute wait.... and the wait was not due to being crowded, it was a kitchen staff shortage we were told.. Not only were they out of the Brocolli Cheddar Chicken, but also out of Sunday Chicken, Meatloaf and others. We struggled to convince ourselves to visit regularly during the past year since a couple of visits can be fine, then 3 or 4 go sideways. Sad. We've commented to the staff there, called the corporate customer line and things get a bit better for a little bit... but being consistently good seems to elude them.
Our waitress was in training, so it was a little challenging getting our food in a timely manner. But the other waitresses picked up the slack. Overall we truly enjoy the breakfast here.😉
Best southern fried chicken and for the holidays country fried turkey. The chocolate pecan pie is truly delicious. A must for the holidays.
Good food and a relaxed atmosphere, service was ok and the place is kept clean.
Must have new cooks, over 45mins for breakfast for two. Eggs had to be sent back, not cooked completely. Ended up with Luke warm food.Waitress was nice and efficient.
Omg always good!!! And the customer service is awesome. Ive been here tons of times and I love it every single time!!!
Good Breakfast. Need to get real hash browns or home fries - not those shredded junk. Good Waffles and Pancakes. Decent burger - need dill pickles not sweet pickles like they have. Good roast beef and gravy. Decent food and the store out front is cool.
My daughters and niece went out for a little Black Friday shopping and decided to meet at Cracker Barrel. The wait was long which was to be expected, given the day and time we went. We had the BEST server. I lost my receipt, so I don't remember her name. She was friendly. She noticed the tables were really close together and asked if it would be okay if she moved it to give us more room. She wasn't like that just with us. I noticed her interacting with the other customers the same way. She was very good at her job. She made our visit a pleasant one.
This place provides extraordinary service and yummy menu. One of my favourite places in the city. The food came out quick and the prices were economical. Highly recommended.
Fried turkey breast was very good. Sides were not very good and the biscuits could have stayed in the oven a little longer. It took forever to get seated. Had to get a manager's help eventhough the restaurant was half empty. Our server was very nice.Won't be back soon!!
Ridiculous....waited almost an hour for our food. Went for my son's birthday and had to be somewhere at 6:45 so we got there a little after 5. We pretty much ordered right after we were seated. Our food did not come until 6:15. When it did arrive it was not hot. Asked for ketchup and cocktail sauce and waited a long time for that while my food got colder. They kept apologizing saying sorry sorry sorry, but not once did a manager come to the table. If this happened at a different restaurant a manager would have come over and apologize and comp at least part of your meal. Will not be returning. Could not enjoy our meal after we got it because we had to rush. Very disappointing.
The food and service were great. They are following the social distancing guidelines.
Jennifer was awesome! Definitely coming back.
We waited more than an hour to get a table, and food wasn’t great either. Good prices and decent portions
"Crackling log-fire filling the drafty Crackle Barrel with much needed heat for our feet"Dinner-Time at the Crackle Barrel was enjoyable with the choice of Breakfast Food. The pancakes were fluffy. The eggs were scrambled. The sausage was tasty. The grits weren't, at all lumpy! The air was filled with the aroma of coffee brewing, maple syrup and a wood burning fireplace. The atmosphere was of chatter, laughter and fire-logs popping, and chairs sliding . The service was good. Our server was Deja. She was very attentive and friendly. Anytime you want breakfast, you can get it, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner hours! Bon Appetit!
They we're slow to wait on us but once we got seated the waitress was wonderful and food was good
Love their pancakes and turkey sausages.
Nice environment on a chilly morning, had the fireplace blazing. Pecan pancakes, eggs, sausage patties, biscuits all very good. Service was excellent.
I called in an order yesterday for pickup and had a great experience! The food was amazing and the staff was so nice. They are doing a great job at this time and continuing to provide excellent food and service.
Food is always Great! Love their Blueberry Pancakes. To many other favorites to list.
This particular Cracker Barrel is Great! Our food was phenomenal! Good portions. Very courteous and professional service. Not to many people in there, but the servers were always busy cleaning and organizing. Highly recommend the Lima Beans, fries okra and grilled catfish.
Best restaurant I've been in, in the midst of the pandemic. Excellent effort at social distancing. I felt far enough away from surrounding tables to be safe. And the food was excellent!
I gave it one star for clean restaurant, one star for being seated promptly ,(8pm Sunday evening they weren't that busy at all 70% restaurant empty.Took almost 25 minutes before having to go to the kitchen to ask for help, I was greeted by a server that wasn't our waitress , assured us that someone will be with us after another 10 min we got up and walked out
Good food and friendly service. Quick turn around from order to eating.
I always love eating at CB. I usually get the oatmeal and a meat/eggs combo. Service is warm and receptive. Great atmosphere.
My twins decided they wanted to come here for their birthday dinner. The food was wonderful. I ordered the chicken fried chicken & boy, was that good! All in all, our experience was a nice one. 👍
We ordered curbside and no one ever came out to bring our food. Thirty minutes later I just went in and got it myself.
A rustic dining experience coupled with good food, down-home hospitality and classic ambiance. The staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The roast beef platter is recommended with common fare such as okra and hash brown casserole. 'Tis the season for pumpkin spice; the latte is a preferred favorite. Cheers!
Always a treat to go to cracker barrel. I love their chicken fried steak. And their butter beer. But I'm pretty sure their portions have gotten smaller over the years.
Nice place, friendly waitress, quite talkative but not too much. Food was good which is usually the case with Cracker Barrel. It won't blow your socks off but it's satisfying and reasonably priced. Chicken and dumplings are good, southern fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Greens had a bit too much smoked pork in the mix.
I have been supporting this establishment for YEARS. But to be honest I have been less than satisfied with the carry out services. Even before the pandemic, my family and I would place an order and when we get it home something is always missing. Usually multiple sides are left out. I would call and Express the invonvience and would usually be given free meal at a later date. The quality of the carry out food is not as good as when we dine in. My tip for customers is to check your bag before you leave.
Food was great & service was good. They did a great job of social distancing. 👍
That was my first time going to a Cracker Barrel and you know, I enjoyed my visit and my experience at Cracker Barrel. Didn't know you had all of that to offer always seen it but believe it or not on my first time going food was great, even though it was breakfast. I think it should be just a little bit more put on the plate. But other than that did taste good. Thank you for the
Super yummy! Service was friendly, fast. Wait staff all had masks on. Enjoyed our meeting.
Plenty of staff available. Wait time is is reasonable. Table and area clean. Wait staff very friendly and proactive with service and refills. Food is tasty and fresh. Food came out timely and hot. Good meal. Enjoyed shopping and looking at candy and products from back-in- the-day.
Nice litta country place to eat. Very good food. Sometimes wait us long but food is worth the wait
Placed an order online and showed up 10 minutes before the time online said to be there, I called to let them know I was there and was told it would be out when ready. 30 after the time it was supposed to be ready I called again and was told it would be another 20 min. 30 minutes later I was told it should not be much longer. I walked inside and was told that the order was still being worked on. I asked for a refund and was told I would need to call back in the morning and speak with a manager. I hope that the store will not charge me but who knows. They didn’t even seem to care that my order was never ready. This situation was very upsetting. #thanksforruiningmothersday!
This is a great place for breakfast lunch or dinner. Very friendly and atmosphere is comfortable. Service is good. Love the store to look in when u walk in they have so .any different trinkets it's awesome
